Who this is between

You, the business buying the website, and Zero Backlog LLC, of 28 Geary St STE 650 Suite #514, San Francisco, California 94108, United States, which trades as fasttweb.

Paying us means you're happy with what's on this page. It's written plainly on purpose: it isn't legal advice, and nothing here takes away rights your own country's consumer law gives you.

The sample site is not your website

Before you pay anything we may build you a sample and send you a private link. It's an unofficial concept, made by us: not made or approved by your business, not published, not findable on Google, never on your own web address, and nothing to do with whoever built the site you have now.

It costs you nothing and you can ignore it. Until you buy it, it's ours, we can change it or take it down, and it expires by itself after about a month.

What $399 a year buys

The website you saw and approved, live on the internet and kept that way for a year: the hosting, the security certificate, the watching, and fixing what breaks.

Updates to what is on the site, new hours, a new phone number, a line of text, a swapped photo, are included. Ask, and you see the change before it goes live.

Your year starts the day the site goes live and renews on that same date. We tell you before it renews, you'll never find out from your bank statement.

Paying, and stopping

$399 a year, in US dollars, by card through Stripe.

Cancel whenever you want, no notice period, no exit fee, no phone call to sit through. There are no refunds: the year you already paid for is yours, your site stays live right through to the end of it, and then it comes down and the $399 does not renew.

A web address you asked us to buy is included with the site when the name costs under USD 25 a year at the registry, most ordinary .com names do, and otherwise goes on the same yearly bill as the site: one flat price a year for that name, told to you before you agree to anything, added as its own line next to the $399, one payment, one renewal date. What it comes to depends on the name. It is registered in your name, and if you leave, it leaves with you.

Cancelling stops the next renewal of what is on that bill, the site, and the address if you bought one through us. What is already yours stays yours to the end of the year paid for: the site stays live, and an address already registered in your name stays registered. If you cancel before we have actually registered the address, we do not keep money for a name you never got, a person puts that line right. And if you want to keep one and drop the other, tell us, they are separate lines on the bill, and a person adjusts it.

If we ever had to stop hosting your site, you'd get notice, and your web address and everything you gave us would leave with you.

Who owns what

The web address is registered in your name from day one. It's yours and it leaves with you.

Your words, your photos, your logo and your reviews stay yours. You're letting us put them on the site you asked for, and that's the entire extent of it.

The site itself, its code and the design system it shares with our other yearly sites, stays ours. What you get is your site, live, for as long as you pay for it, and everything you gave us back whenever you ask.

What you have to give us

Everything you send has to be yours to send, your own photos, your own logo, your own words, or something you've been given permission to use. If it turns out someone else owns it, we take it down when we're told, and you're the one answerable for having used it.

We don't invent facts about your business. No made-up reviews, no invented licences, no years in business you didn't tell us. If you don't give us something, that part simply stays off the page, we'd rather leave a gap than fill it with something untrue.

What we're not promising

We build you a good website and keep it running. We can't promise it brings you calls, customers, or a particular place on Google, nobody honestly can, and anyone who does is selling you something else.

We watch your site and we aim for it to be up all the time, but we're not promising it will never be down for a minute. The internet has bad days.

If something goes wrong and it's our fault, what you can claim back from us is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months. We're not responsible for business you didn't win, profit you didn't make, or bookings you didn't get.

What we won't put online

We won't build or host anything illegal, anything meant to mislead the people reading it, or anything set up to attack somebody. If a site turns out to be one of those it comes down, and there's no refund.

If these terms change

The new version gets dated at the top. The version you agreed to when you paid is the one that runs to the end of the year you paid for.

If something goes wrong

Email alex@fasttweb.com first. In a business this size that reaches the person who can actually fix it, and almost everything ends there.

If it ever has to go further than that, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, in the United States, where the company is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
