How Zero Backlog LLC, doing business as fasttweb, texts the business owners who ask for it, and how to stop it.

The program
The fasttweb text messaging program is run by Zero Backlog LLC, doing business as fasttweb. We build websites for small businesses. When a business owner asks for it, we text them the link to the website we built for their business and its claim code, the short code that opens it, and we answer the texts they send us.
We send no marketing campaigns and no follow-ups by text. A text goes only to a mobile number whose owner agreed to it in one of the two ways below, or who texted us first.
1. Agreeing on our website
On fasttweb.com/build, a business owner tells us about their business so we can build its website. At the end of the form is an optional checkbox for texts to the phone number they typed. It is unticked when the page opens, and the form sends without it. Its words, in full:
"Text me about my website. I agree to get text messages from fasttweb at the phone number above: the link to the website fasttweb built for my business, its claim code, and answers to my texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Terms: fasttweb.com/terms. Privacy: fasttweb.com/privacy."
Only a ticked box is consent. We keep the words shown, the phone number, the page and the time with it.
2. Agreeing on a phone call
On a call with our phone assistant, an automated AI voice agent, an owner who asks to get the link by text first hears these words, in full:
"Before I send it: Zero Backlog LLC, doing business as fasttweb, will text this number one message with the link to your website, and we'll answer if you text us back. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. Our terms are at fasttweb dot com slash terms, and our privacy policy is at fasttweb dot com slash privacy. Is it okay to text you?"
The text is sent only after a clear yes. If the owner says no or does not answer, nothing is sent by text. We keep a record of the yes with the phone number and the time of the call.
3. What we send and how often
After a call the owner answered, one text with the link to their website and its claim code. After that, only answers to the texts they send us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
The text after a call, for example:
"fasttweb: the site we built for Oak Street Plumbing: https://site.fasttweb.com/oak-street-plumbing?c=K7PX-3MQD Claim code K7PX-3MQD. Reply STOP to end texts."
4. Stopping texts and getting help
Reply STOP to opt out at any time. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT work too, and so does asking in your own words. We confirm once and send nothing more:
"fasttweb: you're opted out and won't get any more texts from us. Questions: contact@fasttweb.com"
Reply HELP for help. We answer:
"fasttweb: texts about the website we built for you. Help: contact@fasttweb.com or fasttweb.com/sms. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
5. Costs and carriers
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6. Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Our Terms of Service, fasttweb.com/terms, and our Privacy Policy, fasttweb.com/privacy, apply to this program.
